Academic Society

The Academic Society at Ramsey Gatehouse Sixth Form aims to support the academic achievements of lower school students and inspire our Sixth Form students to aim high. Each od these committees are overseen by our Head Students with Islay Young leading on Tutoring and Tobias Sullivan spearheading the Innovative Speakers Programme.

Tutoring

Tutoring by members of our Academic Society takes place during lunch and break times in Study6, the current cohort of tutors offer one-to-one or small group session in a wide range of core and option subjects to Year 11 students.

The Innovative Speakers Programme

The aim of this programme is to raise aspirations by inviting a range of alumni, parents and stakeholders to share their academic and career journey with our Sixth Form students in 25 minutes Tutor Time sessions.
